The Detroit Lions, who play the Chicago Bears, an NFC North rival, on Thanksgiving Day, will return to your television screen in a tradition as old as your grandmother's stuffing recipe. As the calendar turns to December in the next few days, the teams are moving in different directions. 

With a 10-1 record, the Lions are dominating the NFC, and their attack has been destroying rival defenses. Twice this season, the Ben Johnson-led offense has come close to scoring 60 points, but has been forced to settle for only 52 points in victories against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans.
